We fight for truth when police violence occurs. That includes challenging false narratives, pushing for full bodycam and dashcam release, correcting media misinformation, and holding officers and departments accountable.

We focus on:
Use-of-force transparency and data
Brady/Giglio lists and officer misconduct records
Independent investigations of shootings and deaths in custody
Policy reform around traffic stops, youth interactions, and mental health calls
Support for families filing complaints, open records requests, and civil rights actions

Every life behind the wall still has value. We track in-custody deaths, medical neglect, disability abuse, and retaliation inside jails and prisons. We support families demanding answers and push for oversight that prevents future harm.

We focus on:
In-custody death investigations
Medical and mental health neglect in jails & prisons
Conditions of confinement (abuse, overcrowding, unsanitary living)
Independent oversight boards and monitoring systems
Policy reforms that address abuse, corruption, and unconstitutional practices

Too often, people with disabilities and mental health conditions are met with handcuffs instead of help. We advocate for protections, alternatives to police response, and disability-informed policies that center safety, not punishment.

We focus on:

Crisis response alternatives (non-police mobile crisis teams, co-responder models)

School safety reform and protections for disabled students and neurodivergent youth

Training and policy standards for interacting with disabled/mentally ill individuals

Advocacy for “brain before bars” approaches to justice

Support for families seeking accommodations and protections for loved ones

Families are often thrown into legal, media, and political storms without a roadmap. We help them understand what’s happening, what questions to ask, and how to build their own power.
